Trust in the Lord

My experience during this tying time

When Coronavirus broke out for the first time in the Philippines, I did not care about it. I just enjoyed listening to what was going on, especially how the virus was exponentially spreading throughout the world.

Some days after the enforcement of the first Enhanced Community Quarantine in Metro Manila, I had a toothache accompanied with a terrible migraine. It was so painful that I could not sleep even for one minute. I was thinking that I was suffering from covid-19.  Thank God, whenever I checked the temperature, it was normal.

Due to the lockdown, I could not get to the dental clinic. Therefore, I could do nothing but to await. I thus spent 2 months with extreme pain. It was my first time to experience such pain. I was often tempted to question God’s presence in my life, as though he had abandoned me.

I was there like mama Mary at the foot of the cross. She could do nothing but to stay there, suffering with her beloved son who was terribly suffering. And she accepted everything with faith. Instead of betraying, I did not cease to call out to the Lord as the suffering was sometimes difficult to bear. And I had consolation from Him.

How about you?....

Maybe you feel yourself incapable of getting over the hardship you are passing through during this downtime, trust the Lord, for whom nothing is impossible.

Maybe you are running out of your supplies, trust God’s infinite providence

Maybe you are having hard time taking courses online, trust the Lord, our source of strength and courage

Maybe you are losing many things important for your life, trust the Lord, our surety and hope.
