Launching of the Year of Missio Ad Gentes

The year of Missio Ad Gentes, according to CBCP Episcopal Commission on Mission Chairman, Bishop Socrates Mesiona, MSP, is the main theme of nine years of preparation by the Catholic Church in the celebration of five hundred years of Christianity in the Philippines.

This preparation started in 2013 during the Year of the Integral Faith Formation.

The Mission Ad Gentes is the way the Church believes will pave the way for the church to fulfill its missionary endeavors in accord with Jesus' mission. In one way or another, Missio Ad Gentes is also embodied in Fratelli Tutti being promoted by the Vatican.
